ABU DHABI, UAE, December 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2009 Frost & Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award for Middle East Water and Wastewater Treatment Market was presented to Eagle Electromechanical Co. L.L.C. for the outstanding growth achieved by the company within a short span of time. Its strategic focus on being a turnkey solution provider and firm commitment to highest quality standards have helped the company establish itself as a respected player within the industry.
The Frost & Sullivan Award for Entrepreneurial Company of the Year is given to an emerging company with a vision that has enabled it to grow despite the significant obstacles facing small companies. The recipient of this award is chosen after assessing the nominees on the basis of predetermined criteria through extensive research. The research process involves collecting information through primary research with industry experts, market participants, end-users, and other value chain players, and supplementing that with reliable secondary information as well as our own ongoing proprietary industry research.
Mohd Hijaz, General Manager / Partner - Eagle Electromechanical Co. L.L.C. said, "Eagle has grown rapidly over the past few years to reach a business capacity of Euro 100,000 turnover per year to be one of the main players in the Middle East for the Waste Water sector. Eagle has been awarded more than 16 plants for the new technology of MBR, and out of them, eight are already under operation by our staff. Eagle has succeeded in this great challenge of building a large capacity plant inside a closed building on such a small footprint. Moreover, we are providing a high quality product of irrigation and potable water grade, whilst meeting the best practices of odor control, visual impact, and sludge treatment. As a company, we are committed to creating a green environment for present and future generations by designing and operating wastewater treatment plants aimed at waste reduction and water reuse."
Mr. Y. S. Shashidhar, Vice President and Country Director, South Asia-Middle East and North Africa, Frost & Sullivan, said, "Eagle has demonstrated remarkable excellence in devising and implementing aggressive growth strategies. This is reflected in the company's success in bagging several prestigious projects beating down stiff competition from local and international firms. Recognizing this unparalleled entrepreneurial spirit exhibited by the company, we felicitate Eagle Electromechanical with Frost & Sullivan's Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award."
At present, the Middle East water and wastewater treatment equipment market is valued at $1.265 billion. Though in the wake of economic slowdown the market is witnessing subdued demand, the long term drivers for the market remain intact. Accordingly, the overall equipment market is likely to clock a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.8% post 2010.
