RADWIN Announces Partnership With K&K Active in Finland

Notizia pubblicata in rete il 08/12/2009 08:00, tempo medio di lettura previsto 3 minuti e 20 secondi

TEL-AVIV, Israel, December 8 /PRNewswire/ --
- K&K Active Will Distribute RADWIN's Wireless Broadband Links in Finland
RADWIN (http://www.radwin.com), a leading provider of Backhaul and Broadband Wireless Solutions, today announced that it has signed an agreement with K&K Active, a value-added distributor based in Finland and part of the Swedish Lagercrantz Group, a multi-million dollar company listed on the Nordic Stock Exchange. K&K Active will distribute RADWIN's wireless broadband systems in Finland and provide full product training and support to customers.
RADWIN provides wireless broadband radios in the sub-6GHz range. The company's solutions deliver native TDM + Ethernet on a single link with up to 100 Mpbs throughput, at ranges of up to 120 Km/75 miles. Incorporating the latest technologies and an advanced feature-set, RADWIN's point-to-point links operate in non line-of-sight and high-interference environments, challenging topographies and extreme weather conditions.
Jouni Litmanen, K&K's Product Manager, stated: "We believe that RADWIN's products will make a great impact in Finland because they offer the perfect mix of carrier-grade performance at truly competitive prices. The Finnish government has decreed that starting July 2010 every person in Finland shall have the right to a Broadband connection. In a large and sparsely-populated country such as Finland - this is a great challenge. We see huge potential for RADWIN's solutions to be used for last-mile connections and backhaul applications because of their cost-effective price and the ease & speed in which they are deployed. Furthermore, in Finland the 5.8 GHz ETSI frequency band has recently been allocated for unlicensed radio links and RADWIN's 4 Watt output power enables achieving higher operational range and greater capacity than ever before possible in this segment."
Yaron Ziv, RADWIN's Sales Director, Europe, stated: "We are excited to partner with K&K Active, and believe that our radios offer a great solution to all market sectors in Finland - from telcos to private networks. With our solutions in place, carriers and service providers can extend their networks and reach rural areas more quickly and cost-effectively than ever before.
