Notizia pubblicata in rete il 10/11/2009 06:17, tempo medio di lettura previsto 4 minuti e 55 secondi

LONDON, November 10 /PRNewswire/ --
- BeautifulPeople.com reveals the world's most beautiful inhabitants as 1.8 million are rejected
www.BeautifulPeople.com, the elite dating site for beautiful people only, went live across the globe on Monday, the 26th of October. Over the past two weeks, the site has rejected nearly 1.8 million unattractive people from 190 countries. From the total number of hopefuls, only 360,000 new members have been admitted. Sweden, Brazil and Norway are proving to be the most beautiful countries overall, with applicants from Germany and the UK among the least successful.

BeautifulPeople.com now has a global membership which exceeds 540,000. Up to 4 million unique visitors visit the site daily. Wherever the site has launched, it has sparked controversy and debate. It has even spawned rival websites catering to rejects and various attempts have been made to block the service in the Middle East.
Robert Hintze, founder of BeautifulPeople.com, said: "Despite considerable backlash against us, the numbers don't lie - we are catering to a very clear demand. BeautifulPeople.com may be morally ugly to our critics, but our growing success is a very beautiful truth."
So who are the fairest of them all?
Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com said: "Sweden and Brazil are proving to be the most aesthetically blessed nations in the world. German men and women aren't faring well, but they are submitting stern images, they need to soften up. The same is true of Russian men, although the fact remains that many are just extremely unattractive.
"I would say Britain is stumbling because they don't spend as much time polishing up their appearance and they are letting themselves down on physical 'fitness.' Next to Brazilian and Scandinavian beauties, British people just aren't as toned or glamorous."

However, thousands have managed to bypass these barriers regardless. Within the Middle East, Iranian women are so far the most popular.

How BeautifulPeople.com works
The way that BeautifulPeople.com works is simple. A potential member applies with a photo and a brief profile. Over 48 hours, existing members of the opposite sex vote whether or not to admit them in to their exclusive fold. Options are 'Yes definitely', 'Hmm yes, O.K', 'Hmm no, not really' and 'NO Definitely NOT'. The system is completely democratic and the majority vote is final.
The kudos of being accepted is currently prompting 400 hopeful members to submit applications every minute during peak traffic times.
