IBt s.a. ha avviato negoziati esclusivi con due società russe "Russian Corporation for Nanotechnologies" (RNT) e "000 Bebig", per creare una joint venture nella Federazione Russa. Lo scopo della joint venture è di dar vita ad un'azienda high tech specializzata nella produzione e sviluppo di fonti radioattive, microsfere e accessori usati nel trattamento del cancro tramite brachiterapia.
Under the terms of proposed agreement, the parties would create a joint venture to be based in Moscow. IBt would be a co-investor and make a contribution in kind into the capital of the joint venture by providing access to its technology, know-how and its intellectual property portfolio. In return, IBt would receive a stake in the equity of the company to be created. The total value of the joint venture would exceed 7 mm EUR.
About the two Russian partners:
(1) "Russian Corporation for Nanotechnologies" will be the main partner in the joint venture, providing funding and some equipments,
(2) "000 Bebig", Founded in July 2004, the company has, together with its strategic partner: "Zavod Medradiopreparat", succeeded in developing the Russian market significantly. It is today the only company distributing radioactive microsources in the entire Russian Federation.
IBt BEBIG Group designs, produces and markets worldwide a complete range of radiotherapy implants used in permanent brachytherapy. Since IBt acquired the company BEBIG GmbH in February 2008, the group is today the leader in its segment of activities and includes subsidiaries based in Germany, France, UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy as well as a large number of distributors spread throughout the world.
